About the Gym

Carter Fitness opened in March 2014 with the intention to help as many people as possible to achieve their fitness goals. Our founder recognized a need for quality programming offered in a semi-private setting that gets results. The programming at Carter Fitness is a combination of personalized training in a group environment. Our philosophy at Carter Fitness believes that by creating a strong community of like minded people, an individual increases their chances of reaching their desired goals.


Monday-Thursday: 5:30am - 10am, 3:30pm - 7pm

Achieving your goals is our main goal! At Carter Fitness, we strive to teach quality movement while coaching our clients on proper technique. We provide our clients with a customized training program that caters to their goals. Each program is engineered specifically to maximize each workout to assist each individual in reaching whatever their desired goal might be.


Jimmy Carter, owner and founder, has 7 years of certified personal training experience with certification from CSCS and ACSM. He graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Leisure. One of the key elements that makes Jimmy Carter unique in his field, is his variety of experiences training people with various fitness and personal goals. He’s known for working with women by applying strength training and helping them achieve a leaner physique.


The Metabolic Class is geared towards women trying to improve their body composition with strength training and nutritional guidance. Regardless of your level of fitness, this class will provide any individual structure to achieve great results. This class is designed to improve your fitness level by giving you a solid foundation for you to continue building strength and fitness.

This class begins with an initial assessment used to develop your personalized program. The focus will be to provide safe and effective workouts for you to use while remaining in a group environment. The program utilizes a variety of strength tools: kettlebells, fitness bands, ropes, suspension trainers, and more. Come learn the best way to become fit and lean in the shortest time possible.

Semi-Private Training is a heavy coaching option for you to achieve quickest results. Training is conducted in a small group environment of approximately 2–5 individuals. Your semi-private training will begin with a physical movement assessment along with nutritional guidance to provide you with a complete set of tools to achieve your results. The individualized program caters to each individual’s specific needs.

A semi-private training session’s main focus is strength and core training followed by metabolic work. The key benefits of this training option is improved strength, mobility, and an increase in your overall fitness.

Small-group training is slightly larger than semi-private with a group of 6-10 people working together, but still customized for each client’s individual needs. This class utilizes progressions and regressions adjusted for every fitness level. In this class, individuals will use fitness bands, sleds, ropes, dumbbells, kettlebells, suspension training and other equipment to reach their fitness goals.
